Engagement ring w/o diamond??

My boyfriend and I are looking at engagement rings and I would like to have a ring that isn’t a diamond. I know swarovski makes jewelry with their crystals, but would a swarovski crystal work as an engagement ring? I have been looking at emerald cut stones and would like some type of clear or clearish stone that would look nice in a white gold setting, and am thinking a swarovski crystal would look really nice as an emerald cut ring. Any other suggestions for stones that would look nice as an engagement ring would be helpful also.

    Sure, if it’s what you want go for it! Just because it usually is a diamond doesn’t mean it HAS to be. Congratulations by the way!

    onyx is pretty, and i love garnets, or rubys;very beautiful, amber would be nice for a wedding too it has warm tones
