I look at engagement rings and they all seem the same … mostly diamond solitaires.
Has anyone got any ideas for an alternative stone or something that makes your engagement ring a little different? Do it have to be just diamond?
Definitely go with a non-diamond stone! Just do your homework on the stone you choose so you are sure to get something sturdy that will hold up with everyday wear.
My fiance chose an engagement ring setting and had a custom-cut aquamarine put in as the center stone.

Looking for a 3/4 ct. emerald cut cubic zirconia ring in yellow gold. This will be my engagement ring at some point when we get the rest of the money saved up (bought the bands w/diamonds so far). Would like to get something that will look like my real ring when I get it so that no one can tell the difference & that way I can wear engagement ring now instead of waiting 9 – 12 months.
Bought the wedding bands with diamonds first because they were cheaper than the actual engagement ring. Going to look at loose diamonds end of the month so may buy a loose diamond if I can find one reasonably priced and have it mounted.

Money is tight right now and I need to get an engagement ring. What are your thoughts or experiences with cubic zirconia? If someone is not an expert, can they tell that it is fake? Any good quality stores online to buy would be great too!!
QVC’s (home shopping show) http://www.qvc.com has diamonique rings in gold setting that are beautiful. A friend got one for his gal pal and it was really pretty. Prices range for any budget. You can always replace it in the future.
I am interested in finding affordable lab created diamond engagement rings that look real to the naked eye.
I don’t want cubiz zerconias, I would like something that looks more like a real diamond like moissanite, or another man made creation that is hand cut, not by machines like cz’s.
Both of these places are reputable. I have a right-hand ring from the second site that people always comment about; they never know it it wasn’t made by nature & I don’t tell.

10:01 pm worth of diamond rings — right off of her own fingers. and tonight we have dramatic surveillance tape of the heist. misa maruyama is here with our top story. misa. the shop owner says a robber stole diamond rings worth more than the average single family home. she says he may be gone for good. but wants to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. we had already established a trust, and then there he goes! jewelry shop owner rita linder says this man, shown in her store’s surveillance video, is a smooth criminal. he had a very nice manner about him, very relaxed. he told her he was looking for an engagement ring for his fiancee. i showed him a couple of stones and he said this one was really down in color. is it an l or an m. only someone who knows diamonds knows that. so she showed him two five carat yellow diamonds and a three karat white diamond … all worth a whopping 290 thousand dollars.
